A pickup truck engulfed in flames closed a major area roadway this morning.

The fire closed U.S. Route 202 southbound near Route 29 in Malvern, Pa. around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The fire was quickly extinguished but the damage was done as traffic was stopped southbound and a gaper delay slowed traffic northbound.

No injuries were immediately reported.

It took about 45 minutes to clear the truck fire.

A crash a short time later in the nearby northbound lanes also caused traffic delays, according to NBC10.com's Jillian Mele.
