A Pennsylvania man accused of threatening two state police troopers with a chainsaw has pleaded guilty to charges including simple assault and terroristic threats.
The Centre Daily Times reports that 53-year-old Joseph James Komisar, of Osceola Mills, was sentenced Monday to nine months to four years in state prison after entering the pleas in Clearfield County.
Komisar had faced an aggravated assault charge in the Nov. 20 case. Authorities say police were called to an Osceola Mills home after a report that Komisar threatened two women with a chain saw. When officers arrived, police say Komisar switched on the chain saw and threatened to kill two state troopers.
Police say officers were eventually able to enter the residence and talk Komisar into surrendering.
