A portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike was shut down today around 12:30 p.m. after a big rig apparently hauling trash overturned.

The tractor-trailer crash closed the westbound lanes between Bensalem - Route 1 (Exit 351) and Willow Grove - Route 611 (Exit 343) causing a long backup.

It wasn't immediately clear if anyone was hurt.

As Sky Force10 hovered overhead crews could be seen using heavy machinery to clear debris from the roadway as the tractor-trailer sprawled diagonally across multiple lanes.

The roadway was closed for about three hours.
