Chris Christie to Charge $2,700 for Photo at Fundraiser

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's presidential campaign is kicking off its fundraising operation next month at the Asbury Convention Center.

NJ Advance Media received a copy of the invitation to the Aug. 4 event and reports that ``founding members'' are granted the opportunity to take a photo with the presidential hopeful for $2,700.

Christie's New Jersey financing co-chair, Jon Hanson, says the event is designed to raise funds for the governor but will serve more as a thank you to Garden State donors who have already pledged funds.

Hanson declined to say how much money Christie's campaign has raised so far, but says the fundraising has been ``going quite well.''

Hanson says fundraising for the 2016 election is ongoing and there is no specific goal for the governor's event.
