New Jersey Gas Prices Still Falling

Motorists continue to see lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $2.73, down 3 cents from last week. That's also much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.18.

This marks the tenth straight week that gas prices have fallen in New Jersey.

The national average price on Friday was $2.84, down 7 cents from last week. That's also much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.22.

Analysts say the lower prices are mostly due to abundant global oil production that has led to falling crude oil prices.
