N.J. Students Flock to the College Life

State colleges report record enrollment

More students than ever packed into New Jersey classrooms and dorms this fall.

Take that, Jersey critics.

A record 100,000 students enrolled at nine state colleges and universities -- they even wanted to live there, too, as more students than ever decided to live on campus.

Why, you may ask?

Well, it wasn't entirely clear but the economy could play a role.

Either way, we do know that Rutgers broke an enrollment record this fall.

So even though we all love a good Jersey joke, this time we just need to leave it alone and congratulate the New Jersey Association of State Colleges and Universities on their record work.
