Man Struck Twice in the Head in South Philly, Dies at Hospital

A gunman shot and killed a man in South Philadelphia Wednesday.

The victim, a man between the ages of 18 and 20, was on the 500 block of Watkins Street around 5 p.m. when the unidentified gunman opened fire.

The victim was struck twice in the head. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was later pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made. Police have not yet released a description of the suspect.
