A 28-year-old man was shot multiple times in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon while children played nearby, police say.

The fatal shooting happened a little after 5 p.m. on the 2300 block of Edgeley Street, according to police. The victim, Mack Aursby, was rushed to Temple Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:36 p.m.

Police are searching for a black male suspect between the ages of 18 and 20 who fled the scene wearing a black hoody and blue jeans, authorities say.

Aursby, who lived on the 3000 block on 24th Street, was gunned down on crowded block of children playing on the 73-degree sunny afternoon, the Daily News reports.

One of the bullets pierced a metal door of a community center nearby, reports the Daily News.
Police could not yet confirm the motive
