Man Requests Sentencing Delay After Pleading Guilty to Child Porn Charges

A registered sex offender in Delaware facing at least 25 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to producing and transporting child pornography is asking a judge to postpone his sentencing.

Public defenders for 44-year-old Harry Roche of Millsboro filed an unopposed motion Thursday asking for a delay in his scheduled Dec. 4 sentencing.

Roche's lawyers say he is being held in Baltimore, making it difficult to meet with him. They say they plan to file a sentencing memorandum on his behalf after meeting with him Monday.

Roche was arrested last year after authorities received a tip. Prosecutors say hundreds of pictures and movies of young boys engaged in sex acts and being violently raped by men were found on computers, cellular phones and digital storage devices in Roche's home.
