Man Beaten, Robbed of Winnings at Trump Taj Mahal

Casino winner robbed of $5,000 in cash

A 25-year-old man was attacked, beaten, and robbed of his casino winnings while walking to the parking garage at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City early Tuesday.

Police found the 25-year-old victim from Totawa, N.J., with scratches on his neck, face, and nose, as well as cuts on his hands at about 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The man said that he was entering the parking garage elevator alone and, just before the elevator door shut, a black male got on the elevator and immediately began to assault him, police say.

Within a minute two other men entered the elevator and assisted in the assault by kicking the man who was lying on the elevator floor, police say.

The three suspects stole an iPhone and $5,000 in cash that the man had won that night. They fled the scene on foot and were seen exiting the Taj Mahal’s porte cochere shortly after the robbery, police say.

The suspects are described as black males of unknown ages.

One suspect was wearing a red baseball hat, dark colored zipper-front warm up with two white stripes extending from the shoulder to the wrist. One suspect was wearing a dark-colored backwards baseball hat, red zipper-front ECKO jacket with a white T-shirt underneath. The last suspect was wearing a dark-colored baseball hat, dark pants and a white shirt.
