Man Shot Sitting at the Bar

A man walked into a bar overnight and shot a patron sitting by the front door.

The gunman entered The Little Spot II at Belfield Avenue and Penn Street in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighborhood around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday and took aim at the unidentified victim, according to Philadelphia Police.

After being shot in the stomach, the victim tried to get out the back door of the bar but collapsed before he could get there, according to investigators.

The shooter fled the bar after opening fire.

The victim was rushed to Einstein Hospital where he remained in critical condition Wednesday morning.

The other seven people inside the bar at the time of the shooting were not hurt and were taken in for questioning.
