Police are investigating the discovery of a body in Upper Darby Wednesday afternoon.
The body of 51-year-old William Charles Dittbrenner, Jr. was found by a group of children in the woods on 61st and Baltimore Avenue around 4 p.m. Investigators say the kids were walking along a trail when they found Dittbrenner's body.
The children told their parents who then called police.
Investigators confirm the body was bruised though they’re not sure if it was caused by decomposition.
Police continue to investigate.
