A man was killed and a woman was injured during a double shooting in the Olney section of the city.
A 33-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were on the 200 block of Nedro Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Monday when an unidentified gunman opened fire.
The man was struck once in the stomach and the woman was struck as well. Both victims were taken to Einstein Hospital. The man was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m. while the woman is in stable condition.
Police have not yet revealed the man’s identity. No arrests have been made and a weapon has not been recovered.
NBC10 cameras captured a car at the scene of the shooting with the word “RAT” scratched in on the side. Police are investigating whether that message is connected to the fatal shooting.
The shooting occurred only a block away from where three people were shot Sunday night.
