Route 611 was reopened and Willow Grove Naval Air Statoin was back to business as usual Monday afternoon after a possible bomb scare turned out to be nothing.

The Montgomery County bomb squad was called to the base around 10 a.m. after a K-9 dog got a "hit" on a vehicle on the base. The vehicle belonged to an active duty military person and was parked behind the base's health clinic. The bomb squad swept the area for explosive devices and police shut down Route 611 for a couple of hours between County Line and Moreland.

The base sent out a statement saying the bomb squad conducted their investigation and found nothing suspicious.
