Authorities believe an ethnic group may be the target of home invasion robberies in Middlesex County.
Gunmen have broken into the homes of Asian-Indian families three times in less than ten days, according to Prosecutor Andrew Carey.
Family members have been restrained. Cash, electronics and jewelry have been stolen.
The latest incident took place on Tuesday night in South Plainfield.
Suspects entered a rear door during the early evening hours and robbed a family of five.
Two home invasion robberies occurred earlier this month in Old Bridge.
In the first, children were in the home and a resident was injured in the second.
