Drug Addict Robs Stores, Steals Car in Delco: Cops

Police are on the lookout for a heroin addict they say is responsible for multiple robberies around Delaware County.

The most recent incident took place at the Swiss Farms in Folsom on Monday night, reports the Delaware County Daily Times.

Police tell the Delco Times that 29-year-old Stephen Thomas Moore, a known addict, attempted to rob the Swiss Farms around 10 p.m.

According to an employee, Moore approached him and asked him for money. When he wasn’t given what he wanted, the suspect and employee entered at the store. The employee was able to activate the panic button, alerting police, reports the Times.

After Moore was forced from the store empty-handed, he allegedly stole a Chrysler Sebring with Pa. tag HWE5729 from the lot next door before robbing the Goodwill on MacDade Boulevard, according to the paper.

Police say Moore was a former employee of the Swiss Farms.

The Daily Times is reporting that Moore is also wanted for thefts in other Delaware County towns and has burglary charges pending in New Jersey.

The suspect may be in Clifton Heights, police say.
