Argument Leads to Deadly Shooting Near Philly Playground

An argument led to a deadly shooting near a playground in Philadelphia early Friday morning, police said.

The shooting happened about 1:30 a.m. near a playground on Staub Street in the city’s Hunting Park section.

Police say an unidentified male was shot once in the chest and neck. He was rushed by medics to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. The male was pronounced dead about 2 a.m.

The shooting, police say, happened after an argument between the victim and the suspect.

No weapon was found at the scene.

So far, no arrests have been made.
