Cops Search for Suspect in Mantua Double Shooting

The victims are in stable condition.

Police are searching for the person or people wanted for shooting two men in the Mantua section of the city Thursday night.

The victims, 18 and 20 years old, were shot on the 3800 block of Melon Street around 11:40 p.m., according to investigators. 

Police say someone in a silver car, possibly a Chevy Malibu or Impala, was driving and opened fire on the men who were talking in the middle of the street.

Authorities tell NBC10 the 20-year-old was shot once in the hip. He was transported to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

The 18-year-old victim took himself to Presbyterian Hospital.

Both are in stable condition.
