Power has been restored to most customers after a transformer failure put hundreds of Center City residents in the dark.

PECO officials tell NBC10 there was a problem with the underground transformer on 12th and Walnut streets.

Firefighters and PECO workers responded to the scene. The failure caused outages to 394 customers. As of 10:15 p.m., power was restored to all but 26 customers.
