Cardinal O'Hara in Springfield, Delaware County was on lockdown for about an hour on Friday after school officials became concerned that a former employee returned to the school and went missing.

The Philadelphia Archdiocese confirmed a former faculty member entered the building without signing in. He was escorted from the building shortly before 11a.m. Nearly an hour later the employee returned but school officials lost track of him, according to a statement.  As a precaution school officials locked down the school until they could find him.

Authorities found nothing during a search of the building. The Archdiocese says the man was found later at his home.

The former employee had been fired in 2008, according to the Archdiocese.
