Four homes, within blocks of each other, in Abington, Montgomery County have been burglarized in the past two weeks.
Police say the houses were targeted while the homeowners were out to dinner or out running errands, between the hours of 5:00-9:00 p.m.
The burglars grabbed small items like jewelry and cameras. One of the victims talked with NBC10's Nefertiti Jaquez tonight.
"They knew what they were looking for--cameras, money, quick things they could run away with," said Peter Misinkavitch, who just moved to the neighborhood in May.
He says the burglars made off with nearly $7,000 worth of valuables from his home.
Misinkavitch says he was out-of-town when it happened, but his girlfriend came home to find the house torn apart.
"She's very upset but we're getting an alarm installed tomorrow," said Misinkavitch.
Police believe the burglaries are related and are stepping up patrols in the neighborhood.
