5th Philly Officer Killed in 10 Months

Officer John Pawlowski followed in his father's footsteps. HIs dad retired recently from the Philadelphia Police Department.
Officer John Pawlowski is the 5th Philadelphia police officer to die in the line of duty in the last 10 months, according to The Officer Down Memorial Page website.

Police Sgt. Timothy Simpson was responding to a robbery, driving on Aramingo Ave., when a black Camaro speeding up Allegany Ave plowed into his cruiser, killing him.
September 23, 2008
Officer Patrick McDonald was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop in North Philadelphia.
September 5. 2008
Officer Isabel Nazaario died after her cruiser was hit by a stolen SUV.
May 3, 2008
Polict Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski was shot and killed responding to a bank robbery in Port Richmond.
