Authorities in Essex County have identified the victims of a two-car crash in East Orange that killed three people and injured two others.

The three men who died in the accident Wednesday are 24-year-old Tyrief Parker of East Orange, 20-year-old Kabeer Bishop of Newark and 24-year-old Dean Scovil of East Orange.

The accident occurred Wednesday night at about 9 p.m. on South Grove Street near the intersection of Central Avenue. Authorities say the men were driving a Nissan Maxima and collided with an SUV driven by a 74-year-old woman. The vehicles came to rest near a New Jersey Transit bus.

The woman, who was not identified, remained at University Hospital Friday. Her 54-year-old daughter, a passenger in the SUV, was released from the hospital.
