Profiles in Excellence: Radnor High School's Daniel Michelson

Daniel is Valedictorian for the class of 2013.

    Daniel Michelson is the valedictorian for Radnor High School's Class of 2013.

    Daniel Michelson is a 2013 National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winner and served as the editor-in-chief of Radnor High School's student newspaper, "The Radnorite."  


    He was also the vice president of the Radnor Model United Nations club. He has lettered four times as a defenseman for the ice hockey team and also played doubles for the varsity tennis team.

    Over the last two years, Daniel has served as treasurer for the Radnor Society for Childhood Cancer Awareness, helping to raise more than $8,000 to fund childhood cancer research. As a junior, he received the Harvard Book Award and the Rensselaer Medal for outstanding achievement in math and science.

    Daniel will attend Yale University in the fall and hopes to pursue a career in medicine.
