A man and woman were killed after a murder-suicide in Allentown Sunday morning, according to investigators.
On Sunday police found the bodies of Etab Mahkoul, 36 and her ex-husband Mouwaffak Mahkoul, 51, outside Etab's home on the 1900 block of East Greenleaf Street at 8:51 a.m.
The Lehigh County coroner says Etab was gunned down outside the house. The coroner also says Mouwaffak fatally shot himself outside the home.
A relative tells The Express-Times of Easton that the couple immigrated to the U.S. from Syria about 15 years ago, and that they have a 12-year-old son.
Autopsies will be performed on both victims on Monday.
