Stormy Weather Expected Saturday Evening

The first day of fall ushered in sunshine and warm temperatures across the area, but NBC10 Meteorologist Dave Warren says stormy weather is expected to move into the area Saturday evening.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Monroe County in Pennsylvania and Hunterdon County in New Jersey until 8:00 p.m.

Between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., a line of storms will move through the city and continue east. The system is expected to start moving through Center city between 7 p.m - 8 p.m. It may weaken after 8 p.m. as it moves through New Jersey and Delaware.

At 11 p.m., the storms will no longer be a severe threat. The front will be off the coast and the rain, if any, will taper off or end up just off the coast.

Cooler temperatures will develop overnight as skies clear.
