Also joining the cast is Shannon Lucio, who will step into the role of Bill Compton's wife, Caroline, who Bill (Stephen Moyer) left behind after being turned into a vampire during the Civil War.

Lucio also comes from the "Prison Break" camp, where she played the recurring character Trishanne. "Grey's Anatomy" fans will recognize the actress from her role as Amanda, the young woman who George O'Malley (T.R. Knight) fatefully saved from being hit by a bus at the end of last season, only to sacrifice his own life.

She previously played the role of Lindsay Gardner on "The O.C." in 2005.
