Robin Williams' Children, Widow Take Battle Over Estate to Court

Seven months after Robin Williams' tragic suicide, his family is taking their battle over his estate to the courtroom.

According to court documents, Williams’ three children will dispute with the late actor's widow, Susan Schneider, Monday morning over the rights to Williams' Marin County home and the belongings inside.

In her filing, Schnieder alleges the comedian's children from two previous marriages took items without her permission from the Tiburon, California, home she shared with Williams.

Williams' trust granted his children his memorabilia and awards in the entertainment industry and some other specific personal items, but also called for the creation of provisions to benefit his wife, who has two teenage sons of her own. This included the couple's home in Tiburon, California and "the contents thereof,” according to the actors will, The New York Times reported.

Schneider is asking the court to exclude the contents of the Tiburon home from items Williams wanted the children to have.

The case over the details of Williams’ trust is expected to go beyond Monday’s initial hearing.
