Jeff Bridges was confronted with a question that's a staple of Reddit AMA sessions while on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
When asked if he would rather fight a one horse-sized duck, or a hundred duck-sized horses, Bridges said, "I went with the giant duck," explaining that when thinking of the hundred small horses, "in my mind they're angry and they're coming after me, man."
"Now I see this giant duck, he's kind of a cool cat," said Bridges, who recently participated in a "Ask Me Anything" session but wasn't asked the hilarious question. "You know, Daffy, Donald, those guys. I could maybe ride it," he added.
Fallon also showed a clip of "The Giver" star throwing the first pitch before a Los Angeles Dodgers game.
The actor paid tribute to his character in "The Big Lebowski" film by bowling the ceremonial pitch. But he told Fallon that everyone was wrong to assume that.
"Everybody thinks that, [but] it was a bocce ball reference," he quipped.
Bridges, 64, also spoke about his role in "The Giver," which is about a controlled society that loses structure when his character reveals his knowledge about the world.
The movie also stars Meryl Streep and Taylor Swift.
