DeSean, Vick Take a Seat for Titans Game

Sorry fantasy footballers -- Eagles star wideout DeSean Jackson and “starting” QB Michael Vick both landed on the inactive list Sunday as the Birds played at Tennessee.

Jackson is sitting with a concussion following a vicious hit last week while Vick was listed as the third-string QB and would likely rest his injured ribs for another week in hopes of starting again after the bye week.

NFC player of the week Kevin Kolb will again be under center in place of Vick while Jason Avant will step into Jackson’s starting receiver role.

Other injured Birds out Sunday included tackle Jason Peters (knee) and defensive tackle Broderick Bunkley (arm).

Also recently acquired rusher Jerome Harrison sat another week as he adjusts to the Eagles scheme. Expect him to replace Joique Bell on the active roster after the bye week.

No surprises on the rest of the Eagles inactive list as LB Keenan Clayton, TE Clay Harbor and DB Trevard Lindley all took a seat.

One guy who was active and could possibly play is tackle Austin Howard. He should be backing up King Dunlap -- who is already backing up Peters -- at left tackle.

But let’s remember the Titans.

QB Vince Young was listed as active and could possibly play if his backup Kerry Collins struggles against the Birds.

The Titans inactives were DT Tony Brown, DB Robert Johnson, T Troy Kropog, CB Jason McCourty, WR Justin Gage, G Ryan Durand, LB Rennie Curran and 3rd QB Rusty Smith.
