Jose Garces is flexing his "Iron Chef" muscles and bringing brunch to University City’s Distrito. Beginning on Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7, Distrito will launch a brunch menu in Chef Garces’ signature tapas-style.
Served from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., the menu will feature a modern Mexican take on the mid breakfast/mid lunch meal.
“One of the meals I enjoy the most in Mexico City is breakfast because of all the flavorful options,” Chef Garces said in a statement. “This menu will bring our interpretation of those dishes to University City and offer new place for brunch in the neighborhood.”
Menu options will include Garces’ take on French toast, steak and eggs and many other brunch classics. Prices will range from $8 to $15.
Be sure to try a new brunch cocktail like the Distrito "bloody Maria" with chipotle infused vodka or the "ojo rojo," a Mexican hot chocolate spiked with coffee and tequila, a best bet for a great end to the weekend.
