Today's the big day for Phillies Ballgirl wannabes. The top candidates for the coveted positions will showcase their fielding skills and on-camera talent today at Citizen's Bank Park. They'll also be tested on their baseball knowledge, physical ability and interpersonal skills.
But these lucky ladies girls better come with their A-game because this year's candidates include all kinds of amazing woman -- athletes, engineers, an ASA umpire and a U.S. ambassador for the Nike+Human Race, just to name a few.
Tryouts, which are divided into three sessions, begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m.
Over 75 woman are competing, but only five to ten lucky ladies will be asked to join the team in early December.
The Philadelphia Phillies stopped accepting applications in October for next season’s ballgirls, so if you missed your chance to apply, keep those eyes peeled for when the 2011 season's application process begins.
Good Luck ladies!
