Get ready to see more than one Gritty at the Wells Fargo Center.
Like a lot of Gritties.
For Wednesday's home opener against the Devils, the Flyers are set to unveil the Gritty C.O.M.M.A.N.D. Center, where fans will have a "variety of wacky makeover options with costumes and makeup, encompassing everything from orange hair dye and face paint, to hair extensions and wigs, and even simply getting blasted with orange ‘Grit Powder,'" according to a release by the team Monday.
The Gritty C.O.M.M.A.N.D. Center, which is located on the main concourse outside of Section 118, will be open 90 minutes before puck drop and through the start of the third period every game.
"For the coming season, we've rolled out new, first-of-their-kind experiences for millennials, gamers, foodies, and hard core fans at the Wells Fargo Center," Valerie Camillo, Flyers and Wells Fargo Center president of business operations, said in the release. "The Gritty C.O.M.M.A.N.D. Center is our latest concept - with a clear focus on enhancing the gameday experience for families and kids."
Gritty, quite the cultured mascot, even provided a comment on his new digs, via the release:

I recently completed a rigorous quarter hour online course in Feng shui, so Flyers fans are basically getting some Architectural Digest cover-worthy aesthetic. It's my space, my office really, so I committed myself to a true post-modern, farm house grunge minimal feel. Bobby Flay would be so proud.
This is very selfless of Gritty.
The home opener should be fun. The Flyers are 1-0-0, there's a giveaway item, Wayne Simmonds will be back in town and things are about to get Grittier.
