Phillies Bring on Former Google Analyst for Baseball Research & Development Andy Galdi

The Phillies announced Tuesday that they are bringing on former Google Analyst Andy Galdi, 30, as the team's director of baseball research & development.

The role puts Galdi in charge of baseball analytics, which covers statistical research and data visualization.

The University of North Carolina alum is coming to the Phillies organization from Google, where he served as the quantitative analyst for YouTube for the past three years, according to a team press release. To learn more about the hire, click here.
