The Ryan Hartman Nickname Dilemma – What Do We Call Him?

We admired his game, but what about his name?

How are Ryan Hartman's new teammates addressing him with Carter Hart already on board.

It's a dilemma that just can't be ignored. Is it Harty? Hartsy? Harts?

Rinkside reporter Taryn Hatcher thought she had the newest Flyer's nickname nailed down with a little help from former Flyer Scott Hartnell.

Hartnell gave Hartman the moniker of "Deuce," as in the second Hartsy on the team, during their brief time together last season in Nashville. However, Deuce doesn't seem to go over too well with his new set of teammates.

"Hart Dog," James van Riemsdyk threw out there.

"I don't know what we're going to call him," said newcomer Cam Talbot. "I think (Ryan) is older, so he should be able to pick his name and we'll have to call Carter something else. I think seniority rules in that situation."

Right now, there's no issues. With Hart (Hartsy) out of action for the immediate future, Hartman is the only Hartsy in the dressing room.

"When Hartsy (Carter) returns, we'll definitely have to figure this out," said Jake Voracek.
