It's the type of hit hockey fans love.
And it's one that should make for a pretty fun Game 2 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Final between the Bruins and Blues.
A helmetless Torey Krug laid out Robert Thomas during the third period of the Bruins' 4-2 Game 1 win at TD Garden.
"That gave me some goosebumps," David Backes said of his Bruins teammate, via NBC Sports' Sean Leahy. "He thinks he's playing 30, 40 years ago."
How will it spill over into Game 2? We'll find out Wednesday night.
"I think it gave our team energy and that's all you're trying to do out there is make little plays throughout the game that pushes your team in the right direction and that was one of them." -Torey Krug
