Joel Embiid got his wish.
Or shall we now officially call him "The Process."
Ahead of the 2016-17 season, Embiid asked Sixers public address announcer Matt Cord to introduce him as "The Process," the beloved slogan of the 7-foot-2 big man.
On Tuesday night, it was debuted — and it was great.
Fans chanted "trust the process" boisterously during his NBA regular-season debut.
"That’s my motto, 'Trust the process,'” Embiid said that night with a smile.

He had to be happy with Cord's rendition Tuesday before Embiid delivered 18 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks in the Sixers' down-to-the-wire, 103-101 loss to the Magic.
Without further ado, here's the introduction, courtesy of the Sixers' Instagram account.
The whole "trust the process" isn't just fun and games for Embiid. It has a personal meaning, as he explains here ...
I went through two surgeries, lost my brother, thought about some stuff I shouldn’t have thought about, so that’s my own process. And then the process of going through the rehab and finally getting back on the court and getting the chance to finally play in the league, that’s my process.
