Oh, my. Oh, my! The Wells Fargo Center finally woke up Saturday night thanks to one masked man with a legendary slam.
Joel Embiid threw down the nastiest dunk of his young playoff career and seemingly ended Aron Baynes' life in the process, as the kids like to say. Baynes was called for a foul on the play.
It came off a nasty setup from Ben Simmons in transition. Embiid played to the crowd wonderfully afterward as well.
The dunk was in the midst of a Sixers' run in the second quarter that really brought some juice to the home crowd and gave the home team some much-needed momentum. The Sixers trailed for much of the first half, but Embiid's dunk and subsequent run helped them hold a 51-48 lead at halftime.
That's a dunk we'll be talking about for as long as we watch sports.
