Allen Iverson Shops for Sneakers in Philly, Talks His Favorite Kicks as a Kid

Sixers legend Allen Iverson was in Philadelphia recently talking sneakers with Complex. The Answer hit up local shop Lapstone & Hammer to see what sneakers of today are catching his eye.

It's a fun little segment that A.I. fans should enjoy.

A.I. talks about the first favorite sneaker he owned as a kid (Air Revoultions from Nike) which his mom bought him at the expense of the family's power being turned off in the home.

"I was wearing like a size 7 and they only had an 8.5. I still wore them. That's how bad I wanted them," Iverson said.

"I remember it vividly because our lights got turned off for her getting them for me. So shoutout to Mamma."

He also tells a fun story about pulling over in his car the first time he saw a kid wearing his first signature sneakers, the Reebok Questions, to simply soak it in.
