Cowardly Rockies Fans Look at Philadelphia Delicacy With Disdain

Between the two injuries and the come-from-ahead loss, Friday night left a sour taste in the mouths of the Phillies and their fans.

It also left the hilarious scene of Rockies fans being introduced to one of Philadelphia's local delicacies: the Tastykake butterscotch krimpet.

In extra innings, a Phillies fan gifted an unopened box to a group of Rockies fans, who played hot potato with it, passing it around, hesitant to open it as if a bunch of bees waited inside.

(If only they were the far superior jelly krimpets...)

Eventually, one brave soul opened the box and tried one before passing it to the woman next to him. After a quick taste test, you could tell her reaction was, "Hey, this isn't so bad."

We hope everyone else in that section went to bed hungry and filled with regret. We also hope the butterscotch delights made their way down to the Rockies' clubhouse, leaving Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story bloated heading into Saturday night's game.

Now, it's on Rockies fans to repay the favor when Colorado visits Citizens Bank Park May 17-19. Maybe some frozen elk sausage.
