It's not the holidays, but there's one gift on everyone's list this year - a Bryce Harper jersey, and they're already flying off the shelves.
Once the Phillies announced Harper at Saturday's press conference, the Phillies' Majestic Team Store, located at the ballpark, opened to a flood of Phillies fans looking to make a fashion statement that will be in season for the next 13 summers.

Let's be honest, there are a lot of Phillies fans that could probably use an upgrade. When you attended a game at Citizens Bank Park last season, you saw a lot of the former greats on the backs of fans, like Utley, Halladay, Howard, Victorino and Rollins, but there are actually a lot of options now on this current Phillies team for fans to invest in a major purchase like a jersey. In addition to Harper, guys like Hoskins and Nola figure to be in red pinstripes for a while, too.

Jerseys are already available on the Phillies' official online store and run anywhere from $99 for women's and $119 for men's for a replica and up to $273 for authentic. Almost as popular, the jersey T-shirts will run about $30. There's sure to be a number of other cool items, like the Harper shirt in the tweet above, and we'd expect them to become pretty readily available at any local sports apparel shop and online very soon, if not already.
Just don't make the mistake of buying a No. 34 Harper jersey, though, like some already have.
This guy couldn't wait. He gambled on Bryce keeping his number. He might have the very first Harper jersey in the city, for better or worse. Love the spirit though. #phillysports #phillies #bryceharper #harperwatch pic.twitter.com/3PKgeoTqHn — Philly Team Store (@PhillyTeamStore) February 28, 2019
If you're a Nationals fan, Harper jerseys are hitting the clearance racks, but, I'm not sure you'd want to rep a guy that will be a nightmare in the NL East for the next decade-plus.
So, head on over to your favorite retailer or website and buy yourself a shiny new Phillies jersey, Harper or otherwise, and get ready to wear it proudly for the next 13 years.
Just make sure you have some money saved, perhaps, for another jersey in two years.
