The Eagles opened up at 7.5-point road favorites against the lowly Dolphins.

The referee for Eagles-Dolphins is rookie referee Adrian Hill. After nine years as a line judge and side judge, Hill became a referee this season. He was the ref in the Eagles' Week 5 win over the Jets. There were nine penalties called on each team.

The door is open

The Eagles had a light day on Thursday that ended in time for everyone to get home and watch the Cowboys get embarrassed at home by the Bills. That means that with a win on Sunday, the Eagles will move into a tie for the NFC East. But even if the Eagles lose on Sunday, they can still make the playoffs by winning their final four games. But, if they lose to the Dolphins, there won't be much confidence about that.

The start of winnable games

The Eagles next three games are all against two-win teams: Dolphins, Giants, Redskins, before that huge Week 16 game at home against the Cowboys. The Eagles should beat Miami, but they really need to win their last four games against their division opponents.

Offensive help coming

The Eagles' offense was pathetic last week against the Seahawks, but they'll have some help coming this weekend. Lane Johnson and Brandon Brooks are expected to play and they'll probably get a receiver or two back. That should go a long way to helping Carson Wentz have a bounce-back game.
