Cole Hamels made headlines last week when he bolted from Citizens Bank Park during Game 2 of the NLDS so that he could be with his wife as she gave birth to their first child.
Hamels' first child was born on Friday.
The lefty, his wife Heidi and their newborn son were resting comfortably in Philly as the pitcher was excused from the team’s Rocky Mountain trip to be with his family and to prepare for a possible Game 5.
But the question remained -- what did the Hamels choose for a name?
They named him Caleb Michael Hamels, NBC Philadelphia's John Clark reported.
