Vice President Joe Biden was back home in Delaware Thursday to spend time with his ailing mother.
The Veep left D.C. to be with his mom, 92-year-old Jean Finnegan Biden, who became seriously ill recently, the White House said.
Biden was scheduled to meet with President Barack Obama early Thursday, and take part in meetings with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
It wasn’t clear how long Biden would be back in the First State to spend time with his mom.
