Arab-Jewish School in Jerusalem Suffers Arson Attack

An Arab-Jewish school in Jerusalem was torched late on Saturday by suspected Jewish extremists, Reuters reported. The Hand in Hand school, where Palestinian and Israeli children study together in Arabic and Hebrew, was empty when arsonists torched a first-grade classroom and wrote "Death to Arabs" on a schoolyard wall. Around 600 students — evenly split between Arabs and Jews — study at Hand in Hand, a symbol of religious co-existence in a city newly tense with sectarian violence.
