Authorities have told residents who returned to a building where four people were found dead last week to leave again.
Officials had allowed some residents to return to their units after the deaths were discovered Friday. But a New Castle County spokeswoman told The News Journal Wednesday that the complex owner and county officials have agreed to have the building evacuated again.
Spokeswoman Robin Brown said the complex owner is providing alternative housing for residents. She said no additional details would be released until the County Police Department finishes its investigation.
Officials say exhaust pipes meant to vent carbon monoxide from the boiler in the building had rusted and collapsed. Authorities have cited an "environmental issue'' as a possible cause of the deaths but haven't released an official cause.
