Unsuspecting Woman Given Marijuana Cookie, 2 Men Arrested

Two New Jersey men face charges for allegedly giving an unsuspecting woman a ``vodka cookie,'' which authorities say was actually laced with marijuana.

NJ.com reports 51-year-old Anthony Coplan, of Linden, and 42-year-old Carlo Santorella, of Edison, are each charged with reckless endangerment.

Neither man returned calls seeking comment.

Authorities say the 49-year-old woman was an acquaintance of the men. She was with them in February when one of them offered her the cookie, saying it was a ``vodka cookie.''

The woman eventually went to the hospital after feeling dizzy, nauseous, and having chest pains. She tested positive there for marijuana.

Coplan is Linden's supervisor of public property. Linden Mayor Derek Armstead declined to comment, noting that the legal process was ongoing.
