PITTSBURGH

Pa. Couple Found Dead in Apartment

Police in a Pittsburgh suburb have released the name of an elderly couple found dead in their apartment, and say it appears one of them committed suicide.

That won't be confirmed until autopsies are completed Wednesday on the bodies of 86-year-old Margaret Nalley and 85-year-old Alfred Nalley.

Ross Township Detective Brian Kohlhepp says, "It does not appear to be two natural deaths, just based on the scene." Rather, police believe one of the Nalleys killed themselves - though police aren't yet saying how, and are also mum on how the other person may have died.

Police say the couple was found after their adult son asked a neighbor to check on their well-being Tuesday afternoon.

Police say both were in declining health.
