Authorities say a Pennsylvania woman was killed in a weekend crash on a central New Jersey highway.
Bridgewater police say 34-year-old Candice Gerwer, of Bethlehem, was a passenger in a car driven by her 30-year-old brother, John Gerwer III, of Somerville.
The single-car crash occurred Saturday afternoon on Route 22 West in Bridgewater.
Authorities say John Gerwer was trying to change lanes when he lost control of the car and was ejected from the vehicle, which spun out and struck a utility pole.
Candice Gerwer was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
John Gerwer was flown to a hospital, where he was treated for a serious neck injury.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
