Authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped from a western Pennsylvania jail and the man's sister is under arrest for helping him.
Greene County Prison Warden Harry Gillispie says 27-year-old Waylon Hodge Hanlan fled from the Waynesburg facility just before 8 p.m. Sunday. He's been behind bars since Dec. 11 on a probation violation.
State police Trooper Matt Jardine tells The Observer-Reporter that Harlan climbed a fence and ran into the woods where his sister waited in a car.
Jardine says Vanessa Hanlan took her brother to a home where he changed out of jail garb and gave him keys to a car.
She was arrested Monday morning and faces charges including hindering apprehension and conspiracy to commit escape.
Online court records don't list an attorney for her.
